In preparation for DoUC’s contribution to the Art Gallery of Mississauga‘s exhibition Meet Us On The Commons, Department employees Simon Rabyniuk and Brendan Cormier, with Department affiliate and sound wizard Lisa Conway, took a field trip to Mississauga to gather the sounds, noises and tintinabulations that make up the city’s soundscape.
The sounds will be incorporated into an audio driving tour entitled Sauga 2030, which speculate on the future of Mississauga’s public spaces. Â The show opens July 21st – stay posted for more details.
